Scenes from a Concert Hall

The trombone stands tall on its stand,
The stand now stands alone,
Lonely while Trombone begins his song.

The piano, grand as grand is, awaits,
A human who sits -- united,
Achieve what neither could do alone.

Norman Arkin (1924-203?)

Is this a haiku? too many syllables.

I liked to see Norman projecting to live to 203_ That would be awesome. I am confident you will make it, and this blog will be ur masterpiece!

Yes, the 203_ is a nice touch. And, you can take it as a goal once reached that can then be replaced by a further goal.

That raises the issue of longevity, and how much quantity equals quality. For example, the issue of assisted suicide deals with this.
